Hair simulation is no longer a dream! In this demo, Sakura Rabbit, a Unity-based indie game developer known for creating a large variety of projects with Unity, has unveiled a stunning demo showcasing the latest hair simulation system from Unity. The system was first revealed in Unity's tech demo "Enemies". It works with any authoring tools that export data in the Alembic format and creators can use it to create real-time hair simulations.

In the demo, users can see real-time hair simulation in action. It works on strand-based hair. The system is fully customizable and users can use it to create anything from flowing hair to realistic animal fur. Creators can develop realistic hairstyles for their characters and as you can see hair tends to interact with other objects and physics which adds to the overall realism of the scene.  This kind of flexibility is unprecedented in the world of game development and will change the way we think about character creation forever.
